Sat Nam jio – I had the pleasure of meeting you with your parents and singing with them, you, and Snatam Kaur and company at the Memorial service two years ago for Siri Singh Sahib ji. You may remember, or not. :-)

I am writing today to alert you to a problem that your blog is having, that you may not be aware of – your writing is being ripped off (“splogged”) by a website out of Spain called Bitacle.org, and reposted on their site with ads so that they can make money off your original work.

I myself only became aware of this happening to a number of other blogs I follow, in the last few days, as well as to my own blog when it was still on Blogger (I’m using WordPress.com now as well). Apparently this site has been operational for at least several months. I found your posts on it when I was searching to see if Snatam Kaur’s blog had been compromised as well (apparently not, I’m glad to say). Here is an example search results page from that search; you’ll see a number of your posts listed: http://en.bitacle.org/blogs/blogsearch/snatam.

Here as well are a couple of links from well-informed people trying to help others to stop this outrage: http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2006/09/27/the-bitacle-battle-of-blogs/ ; http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/ (scroll down a bit) – both of these have a lot more links.

If you care about your content (and I’m sure you do; this is a lovely blog!), you may want to follow up on this.

Sat Nam and best regards to you jio; also hugs to your parents! :-)

PS – I’m submitting this as a comment to you because I’m not seeing a direct email link for you – you might want to delete this from the comments section when you get a chance!

Ram Das ji, during your tour of Europe, my family
(My mom and my nephew ) and myself were amongst the sangat in England.
We attended the Guardwara performances in September 2007 and the concert at Kartar Kaur ji house.
You have added exellence to the group and you played the Clarinet beautifully. We would have liked to talk to you.Not enought time as we travelled 4 hrs that day and had to leave.
We hope to see more of you in the future with the peace jatha.
